At any event the best moments are scattered across dozens of guests’ phones, and they surface days later through group chats and "send me your photos" requests, if at all. Existing shared-album apps collect stills after the fact and mostly miss video, so the host never sees the night as it actually unfolds and short clips like the first dance or the speeches fall through the cracks.
We built OurCameraRoll as a live broadcast of an event rather than an after-the-fact album. The core constraint was zero friction for guests: no account and no install, so joining is a single QR-code tap and captured media streams into one shared feed the instant it is shot. The build handles real venue conditions, queuing posts offline when wifi drops and auto-syncing on reconnect so nothing is lost.
The iOS and Android apps ship a real-time feed where photos and short video posts from every guest appear together, with live viewer counts, reactions, comments, and host controls for pinning highlights, hiding posts, and setting guest limits. Reveal mode lets a host keep the feed live all night or lock it and unveil every photo at once for a surprise. Remote friends and family get watch-only links to follow the event live without posting, and hosts export full-quality originals plus an auto-generated recap reel afterward. Monetization is pay-per-event: free up to 25 guests, then one-time drop tokens unlock larger crowds, HD downloads, the recap reel, reveal mode, and longer album access, with no recurring fees.
