Emily Rosalia: a photography site where booking a shoot is checkout.

A Dutch photography and film studio needed more than a portfolio. Clients had to be able to pick a shoot, see real open dates, choose a package and pay, without a single email going back and forth. We designed and built the whole site, live in three days.

01·THE PROBLEM

Every booking started as a message. Which dates are free, what does a family shoot cost, can I add a video, is the studio available. The answers lived in one head and one inbox, and every enquiry cost an evening.

02·WHAT WE BUILT

One site that carries the whole business: portfolio and films up front, and behind every shoot a real booking flow with live availability, package tiers, add ons, VAT correct checkout and gift cards.

03·THE RESULT

The site is live and takes bookings on its own. Clients pick a date and a package and pay in one go, the studio in Slochteren can be rented from the same system, and the whole thing went from brief to live in three days.

INSIDE THE PLATFORM

Live availability, every shoot page carries a real calendar with open dates and morning, afternoon and evening slots, up to three months ahead.

Location aware, a client picks on location or in the daylight studio, and the available slots follow the choice.

Packages and add ons, three tiers per shoot with different photo counts, extra photos per piece, and an optional short film, all priced at checkout.

Gift cards, bookable as a product from 25 euro, so a shoot can be given as a present and redeemed later.

Studio rental, Daglichtstudio Groningen is its own bookable resource, so other photographers can rent the space through the same flow.

VAT correct checkout, Dutch and EU VAT is applied and reported properly, so the shop is invoice ready from day one.

Portfolio that sells, galleries per shoot type, wedding films, blog stories and a live Instagram feed, all routing back to the same booking flow.
